Just stayed at the MGM for the cubs - tigers games. The cubs, not so good. The MGM Grand awesome! It was busy during check in, two more reps appeared quickly to assist. We got a great manager, who upgraded us to the concierge level. Wonderful - huge corner room, great view of the old Tiger stadium. We were very... more

This hotel belongs in Vegas! The rooms are AMAZINGLY high tech and wonderfully decorated in magenta and other modern colors and the bathroom is AWESOME (you can have a party in the shower, probably fits 10 people). The food is yummy and the service is good. However, once you step outside, you realize where you are, in Detroit. more

It may cost a fortune, but well worth the price. The rooms are beautiful, the front desk staff is incredible. It was also a little noisy at night (and we were up on 22) so the walls may be a little thin. We ate at the Wofgang Puck Grille for supper, every bite was amazing. We ordered room service for... more

We stayed during the busy final four weekend and although we paid a ridiculous price per night, we couldnt have been happier with our stay. The rooms are fabulous, bed was large and comfortable, modern lights, large flat screen tv in bedroom, and the bathroom was awesome with its large dual head shower, seperate toilet and flat screen tv in... more

My husband and I decided to go up to the MGM grand due to our players club cards with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas (didn't feel like flying to Vegas) . We are so pleased that we did...from the moment the valet opened our car door it was wonderful...front desk staff....wonderful. A security guard opening the door into the... more

When I bought tickets for an event in Detroit I could only think of staying at the MGM Grand. This was the second time we have stayed there and will not be the last. The lady at check in was fun and fast, even gave us an upgrade. The room was clean and the hotel is just perfect. more

My friend was getting married in Grosse Pointe and planned on all of her guests to stay here at the MGM. I've never been to Detroit and thought this was the perfect hotel to stay at to get a lively experience. I was very wrong. From the moment I walked inside I had a bad experience. The woman at the... more

The staff were all friendly from the front door, house keeping, security, and the restaurant staff. My wife and I were there on business and pleasure, but we also brought our newborn. There were a few drawbacks as you might expect with children and casinos. The only restaurant you can take them is Wolfgang Puck, because it's not inside the... more

The Tony Chi-designed spa is like a whole universe of happy, complete with amazing pools and a jewel box of a fitness center overlooking the whole affair. It's monster, and unbelievably secluded from the rest of the property. You won't want to leave. I have been through a bajillion spas in my time - never did I expect to see... more
