I recently returned from a weekend trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and on one night I was lucky enough to stay at the Sandtown Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast. It was my first bed and breakfast experience and I cannot imagine a better one. This is a lovely bed and breakfast, with three guest rooms. Each of the rooms is comfortable and has a private bathroom. I stayed in the "Great Northern Room," which is decorated nicely with a "rustic" theme and boasts a king-sized bed. Do note that the bathtub/shower and toilet/sink are within the room itself (the toilet is closed off by a door), which was a surprise but not at all unpleasant. Perhaps the best part about this bed and breakfast are the owners and hosts, Tom and Caroll, who go out of their way to make your experience pleasant.
