My husband and I stayed in the Dutch Colonial Inn in May of 2007, immediately preceding the Tulip Festival. We stayed in the Tulip Suite, which is a loft style room with a sitting area, television, fireplace and private bathroom downstairs, and a bed, additional bathroom and tv in the loft upstairs. The Dutch Colonial Inn is situated in a featureless neighborhood, in Holland Michigan. It is not located near the water front, or major parks. My husband and I stayed at the Dutch Colonial Inn for our first wedding anniversary as we participated in the Holiday Cheer Wine Trail Event. We stayed overnight in the Tulip Suite. We stayed at the Dutch Colonial Inn as a get away for a weekend. We stayed in the Jenny Lind Suite, which has it's own private bath, king bed and a small jacuzzi tub. My wife and I went for the tulip festival. The festival was a bit overated but our stay at the Dutch Colonial Inn was quite refreshing. The Inn is within walking distance to downtown. The owners are quite gracious. When I mentioned I like de-caf coffee in the morning, they made a caraffe and left it on the common room.... more

we stayed here two or three years ago for our anniversary. Our room was BEAUTIFUL. We initally stayed in a regular room and then switched to the Tulip suite. Bob and Pat are such gracious innkeepers. Their home is beautiful and filled with antiques, the rooms are spacious and the breakfasts huge and delicious! And the chocolate cookies waiting for us in our room in the afternoon was a wonderful touch! more
