The Rosewood Inn is the very definition of what a B&B should be - beautiful, comfortable, hospitable, relaxing. I was in this area of Michigan for a convention, and while most average hotels were available for around $80 - $100, I figured I'd spend a little more to stay at Rosewood for the experience of a B&B. It was just wonderful. Owners Joe & Val did a phenomenal job with this facility; Joe, a craftsman, revamped this old mansion into a masterpiece. The rooms are gorgeous, the decor is warm and inviting, and this is far beyond what any hotel in that region offers. It's worth the extra price just for the atmosphere. The surrounding landscape is such that people book weddings on the property which is no surprise. Val handles the cooking and I can honestly say they were the best breakfasts I've ever had. We stayed three nights; each morning we were greeted with fresh fruit, sausage, eggs, omelets, belgian waffles, homemade muffins.. just the very best. The waffles... more
