My husband and I have stayed here twice in 2009, both in the off season. Since prices are so affordable, we booked the biggest and most expensive rooms available (at $99 a night!) each time. We stayed a single night both visits, but you will be asked to stay two nights if you visit during peak weekends (e.g. MTU graduation,... more

We really wanted to like this place but upon arrival found the Inn to be rundown and dark inside making the atmosphere generally grim. We inquired about the owners and were told that they hired innkeepers to take care of the inn. We never saw the owners during our visit even though they lived next door. Not a very friendly... more

The Laurium Manor Inn is a charming, old mansion that has been restored with loving care. We stayed for 2 nights at the inn. We found the bed comfortable and the inn is quiet. The staff is warm and helpful. The breakfast is good. more

The owners Dave and Julie and wonderful, friendly and warm, very busy since they do the renovations on these 100 year old + homes themselves. We were allowed to see all the rooms in both the Inn and the Hall across the street plus the 2 homes they rent out and the 2 apartments that are above the historical carriage... more

After reading the other reviews I was really looking forward to my stay here, but I was very disappointed in the accommodations. The innkeepers changed every day and they were all very pleasant. This was the best part of the stay. My room was large, but rather worn and had a musty smell. The bathroom was very small with a... more

We came back to the Copper Country to visit old friends and favorite places , having lived in Houghton 20 years ago while my husband was on the faculty at Michigan Tech. Two of our children were born in Laurium. At that time this beautiful building was being used as a funeral parlor. How delighted we were to find out... more

My wife, son and I stayed at the carriage house of the Victorian Hall, which is part of the Laurium Manor Inn B&B group. I have stayed at the Manor several times in different rooms, but this was a first for my wife and son. We wanted the carriage house because it has two separate bedrooms, and our son is... more

This Inn is a jewel in the Kewenaw. Any one who has a chance should stay there at least once. We were on the third floor the first night and loved it so much, we asked if there was an opening for another night. The second night we were lucky enough to be in the original owner's suite on the... more

I just returned from a one-night stay at the Laurium Manor Inn. Without a doubt, it was one of the best inns I have ever stayed at. I cannot tell you how welcome I was made to feel by the owner. She repeated urged me to wander throughout the inn (and is it ever big and full of historic charm.)... more

The Laurium Inn is a beautifully restored mansion. We enjoyed our stay but expected a more intimate bed and breakfast style atmosphere. The inn is very large and the owner kept all the lights off in the common rooms. This made the inn seem very dark and unwelcoming. The breakfast was buffet style with many choices, but the food was... more
