We were recently in Ludington and had to find an overnight spot somewhat unexpectedly. After finding that the large chains were way overpriced with "in-season" weekend rates we stumbled on the Avenue Motel. Its a small 8 unit motel right on Ludington Ave. While the amenities may be leaving some wishing for more, for others it would be perfect. The location does not have a pool, internet, gift shop, etc... but it also doesn't have the price that comes with those ammenities. What we found at Avenue Motel was a very clean, quiet, comfortable room. It looked like everything had just been redone for this season. The carpet was perfect as was the furniture. Granted, the room was small, but we knew that going into it. If you are looking for 5 star this isn't the location. If you are looking for a clean quaint room in town this would suit your needs.
