The resort has been renovated since my stay Memorial Day weekend 2021 and the improvements are noticeable elevating what I already deem a 5 star resort to a true luxury resort. The restaurants were fully staffed and operating at capacity and the service remains impeccable! We were greeted by Latoya and Vivyan who shared that are room, although not ready, as we arrived hours early, they would contact us via text when our family suite was available. They wished my daughter a happy 18th birthday and they had an electric greeting board for all special occasions to our surprise. The bell services team was on point and willing to take our bags and deliver to our room, Avian assisted us and the stellar professionalism continued when we returned later after receiving the text notification that our room was ready. The family suite at the Straits Lodge is a short walk from the main lodge where you pass the spa (amazing), wedding pavilion, game room, theater, and a hall that conducts Sunday morning services. The family suite has a shared bathroom but separate quarters for sleeping, a King room with a tv, coffee bar, closet, sink/mirror area to refresh, hair dryer, iron, and microwave and hidden refrigerator, etc., as well as a cozy sitting area. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in in my life and I’ve stayed at numerous hotels and resorts throughout the world. At one point I did not want to leave the bed nor did my daughter in the twin bedroom area. The other area contains twin beds, sink/dressing area large enough for two, tv mounted above that area, and closet. She too commented that although she has a full size bed she’d gladly downsize to a twin mattress of from that manufacturer. The bathroom is standard with a toilet, tub/shower combo, and supplied with shower essentials. My only suggestion would be an additional sink in the bathroom versus leaving to wash my hands in the bedrooms. Also, there were no dressers or nightstands but there were areas to hang clothes in the closet. We enjoyed dinner at the Round Island restaurant with great vegetarian options. There is a great lawn with plenty of Adirondack chairs where ever lounged overlooking the lake. They also offered evening Glo-Golf. We closed out Labor Day weekend at the Lakeside Spa and it was phenomenal!!! Ryah helped with accommodations prior to our arrival and was able to reserve couple’s massage for my daughters first massage experience so she would not be alone. The quiet waiting area is tranquil filled with large lavish chaise lounge chairs and a hydration station. There are multiple saunas and you are supplied with lockers, robes, shoes, hair ties, and individually wrapped hair brushes, etc. the spa is divine with soothing music and lighting to relax your mind. Amy and another massage therapist came for us and the room was large, they wrapped warm towels around our feet, pampered us throughout the entire experience. We waited in the sauna until time for our mani pedis with Gail and Chloe. My daughter was paired with a younger tech, Chloe and they chatted like old friends and Gail and I laughed like we had known each other for years. I truly did not want to leave as we were cared for from the moment I called to make reservations and even after I left an item in the locker room they mailed it to my home address. I cannot rave enough about the accommodations and the grounds are beautifully cared for and 3 days is not enough to experience this resort. Note: They have bike rentals, baggage service from the ferry, small cafe at the Straits, lounges at the main building, pool, and more, all reasonably priced for this level of luxury. Enjoy!…
