First off I expected to get what I reserved which was a room with 2 Queen sized beds - upon checking in I was told there were only double beds, I doubt any rooms had Queen sized beds by the way the reception desk spoke. This is a nice, basic and affordable place to stay. The girls in the front office were very accommodating... when no more non-smoking double rooms were available (I had called ahead to make a reservation), they gave us 2 adjoining queen rooms at the same cost. We didn't sleep very well because the beds were a little uncomfortable to us. more

I stayed at this motel while I photographed a wedding on Mackinac Island. The front desk girls were very nice and friendly. I met the owners while staying here and they were a very nice older couple who are from Europe originally. The rooms were clean, but the beds weren't super comfortable. This is a horrible Bed Bug infested hotel. We checked into the hotel 9-1-08 for 4 nights. Stayed 3...Fleeing from bites all over our bodies. Michelle that Hotel Manager wanted proof! Proof?
