We were pleasantly suprised upon our arrival. Our room had a wonderful view, was clean & having a fridge was a real bonus. The hotel is close to everything & very "walkable". The parking lot is a bit small & we had to park quite a way from the hotel after returning from dinner one night. The breakfast offers a... more

We had a first floor, lake front, king bed room. There was a slight musty smell upon entering, but that's to be expected on the water front. I don't understand the negative reviews. We had a very comfortable bed, nice sheets, many pillows (we also bring our own). Decent towels and many of them. We had no trouble with internet.... more

Well, back again to the Super 8. Stayed last summer and my parents booked the same place again. This time we had beach front rooms. The view was beautiful. Rooms dated but clean. However, a major downfall is the paper thin walls. Could plainly hear the conversation of the people in the next room and could even tell what they... more

We arrived to a fairly quick check-in, although the desk clerk was very "chilly." Coupons that were promised for several area businesses were not provided, just a handful of tourist attraction brochures. Our room was on the first floor (facing the "courtyard" - translation: paved parking lot) The room itself was fairly clean, but looked like it was stuck in... more

Called to confirm wireless access in rooms, told yes, arrived, could not pick up signal, told front desk, was told I could sit in breakfast room by front desk, sit in car, try to pick up signal from hotel next door, or leave (and try to find somewhere to stay on holiday weekend). They could have cared less, because they... more

A clean place to stay is what is most important to us, so this place is not for us. The carpet was covered with stains. The rest of the room just wasn't up to par either. It was 90* when we arrived and the refrigerator was not plugged in, so it did not cool off enough to be used. The... more

We stayed at this motel because they allowed pets. When we checked in the toiled had obviously been used and there were not enough towels in the room. The walls are paper thin and we could easily hear the regular conversations of the people next door. Next time we'll camp! more

Stay away. Staff does not care about anything. When we left we asked for a business card for the hotel to file a complaint with the owner and the staff refused to give us a business card. Go anywhere else, sleep on the ground or in your vehicle, but don't stay here. more

Our whole family stayed at the Super 8 for our trip this summer to Mackinaw City/Island. We liked the pool and hot tub area and the contental breakfast was good. The rooms were clean, small, but nice for my husband and I and 2 young children. We had a small fridge in our room which was nice. My in-laws liked... more

I stayed at the Super 8 Beach Front in Mackinaw City on Aug. 1, 2007. I choose the motel from the pictures on the hotel website and was that a mistake!!! The rooms were small, allthough clean. The waster pressure was non-existent and the pool was smaller than the photos showed. The front desk staff was RUDE and not helpful... more
