My husband and I stayed at the Ramsdell Inn in Manistee, MI last weekend and found it delightful. It was just so peaceful, quiet and relaxing. It is a hotel, but it has the feel of a bed & breakfast. We saw only one other guest during our 2 day stay. You are greeted by the hotel desk if you... More

I was here on business and my wife joined me. If I am ever back in town I'll stay here again. The room was very clean, the most important thing to me. It was also quite large with a gas fireplace. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but that is not a surprise when you remodel... More

We were so fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend the night (April 18th, 2012) at the Ramsdell Inn. We were so impressed by the luxury and coziness of our rooms. The place has been decorated with lots of class and yet the history of the building is impressive. The lobby was incredible. The pub served out of this... More

We stayed for four nights last week and had a wonderful time. Large rooms and the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. The staff is outstanding! They are super friendly and always concerned about your needs. Strongly recommend!

So you want to stay in a quaint Lake Michigan harbor town, be centrally located to its retail center and fall out of your room into a decent restaurant and bar? If that's what you are looking for, the Ramsdell Inn is it. I had a fine room on the second floor of this 4 floor walk up Inn (be... More

Stayed in the tower suite, forgot the name of it, was the top floor. Beautiful, old world charm. Location was fantastic for downtown shopping and the river-walk boardwalk. The views from the turret-like tower was very nice. Quaint and quiet. No elevator, so keep that in mind if you have trouble with stairs. Definitely enjoyed it.

My husband surprised me for our wedding anniversary and got a room at the Ramsdell Inn. He was very excited about this because he had looked it up online and thought it would be fancy. He opened and room door and was disappointed. The room was neat and on the plain side -- no wow factor. Could have been any... More

I stayed in two different rooms, and they were bith really cool, one was a simple room with all the amenities and a fireplace. I was lucky enough to get an upgrade right on the corner with a turret reading nook, separate living room and fireplace. Both were very clean, well equipped and I was very satisfied. The building is... More

I cannot speak to the rooms of this fine old inn however the wedding reception that I attended was flawless. The settings was just fabulous and the staff were attentive to every need. Old world charm at its best. If I had the opportunity I would have stayed here as well for a complete experience,

The Ramsdell Inn is pricey for the town, but not overpriced for the quality of the rooms and service. Visited Manistee on a weekend in June. My first thought was," Where the hell is everyone?". My second thought was," There must have been a huge fire, or some economic downturn that turned this place into a ghost town." I could... More
