July 4th weekend my wife and I were traveling late and couldn't find an available room at numerous motels. We bypassed the Rodeway Inn as we thought it was closed due to numeous weeds and trash in front and a very tired look. Upon finding nothing else available, we tried it in desperation, and found it was indeed open. Bizarre... more

Bizarre. The fire escape map posted to our door gave an idea that this place had been something, once. There was a restaurant, a pub above it, a pool and jacuzzi, a tanning salon and a video arcade. We found the video arcade, after wandering some desolate corridors, a selection of unplugged mid-nineties hits, Along the corridor from that, a... more

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here for a weekly business trip. I have found the hotel to be adequate. The Staff extremely helpful, as I was a day late in check in and they didn't charge me for the extra day, I was very grateful. The room is no frills, but was clean and well maintained while... more

We stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Manistee because we always stay in Choice Hotels, usually Comfort Suites or the Comfort Inn. We found out as soon as we saw the hotel from the road that this was no Comfort Suites. The lawn was over a foot long and there were dead plants in containers. The carpet in the entire... more

I booked this room as I had my mother's funeral to attend for two days. I got to the hotel and it took the girl working 20 minutes to find my reservation. She stated she was new and I said no problem and was patient with her. Then she couldn't find which room I was asigned and had to call... more

Tub was nasty- it was dirtier than I was so I did not dare take a shower in it. Pool was so cloudy that you could not see the bottom. Hallway lights did not work. There was a man yelling in the hallway at people. They give you this coupon thing for a free $1.99 breakfast, but in order to... more

As we entered the Rodway Inn, we knew we were in trouble. People were definitely having trouble with their reservations. When it was our turn, the clerk found our reservation with no trouble. However, he said that we had reserved a smoking room even though we had the confirmed reservation sheet that stated we had reserved a non-smoking room. He... more

I have to agree with the other reviews. The room was dark and small, the section with the tub and toilet was barely big enough to turn around in with the door closed. I asked for a first floor room, but even though the motel was only partially full, I was told first floor rooms were unavailable. The motel advertises... more

We usually stay elsewhere when in Manistee, however, there were two conventions in town this weekend. This was the only place in town with a vacancy. Upon arriving at the hotel, we immediately notice that the grounds were poorly maintained and trash was strewn all over. Even the little camel statues out front were broken. We knew then not to... more

The Rodeway Inn was formerly known as the Carriage Inn. I know this because all three of their HUGE signs on the property advertise this. They have a tiny banner partially covering one of the signs that reads " We are now the Rodeway Inn". Needless to say, we passed the place a couple of times before finally noticing the... more
