The hotel, like many hotels in Egypt, is old and dated but neat and clean. The room we stayed in was very small. So small that there was NO room for our suitcases, which had to be opened on the bed.
The bathroom was so small that you could sit on the toilet and wash your feet in the shower. You needed to be a contortionist to get in the bathroom and squeeze around the door to close it. Definitely not a place for larger people.
The view from the balcony and restaurant was excellent. The motel overlooks the Nile. By day there is a view of the Nile and traffic along the corniche, which was very entertaining. By night, the view was spectacular with multi colored lights, which reflected in the Nile. There were spotlights highlighting the desert mountains on the opposite side of the Nile so they looked like mysterious clouds.
