We spent 2 nights here following one in Okakeujo. Halali was by far our favourite of the 2 camps. Room ( a basic one) was bigger and brighter than the waterhole chalet (W1) at Okakeujo, and no mozzies! The roof is a solid structure and that seems to help keep most of the creepy crawlies out. (Okakeujo roof was thatch... more

We camped for 3 nights in Halali and loved it. Even though we arrived at the gate just after sunset (and it was closed), the guard opened it up and let us in with no problems (it took us over 2 hours to drive from the Andersson Gate as we kept stopping to look at the game, and there was... more

Correct. nothing special but the room is clean, and the view on the waterhole is great (you are outposted) and people are kind more

Location in the middle of Etosha is a positive but waterhole I found not as good as in the other camps. It is quite far to walk (best to take a torch!) and not as much seating and due to rocky nature of ground you need to look out where you put your feet. Rooms were clean and comfortable, beds... more

Starting from the check-in over the staff at dinner to pretty much everytime one had to do with the staff everything seemed very chaotic. The room was nice and ok but the resort is definately overpriced. Our recommendation would be to stay outside of the park and go on day trips into Etosha. more

We stayed here (as most people do) as a midway stop off point on our travels through Etosha from West to East. We booked a 1 night stay which was more than enough. Other comments rate this as quieter and better than Okaukuejo but we disagreed as our experience here was far less enjoyable. We found the staff very rude... more

Moved on from Okamjima to Halali for 2 nights. Compared to Okamjima this was definately inferior although it basically operates on the same basis and is owned by the same Company - NWR. Staff in our view not as attentive or as happy to meet your needs. The food which is also on a buffet basis (breakfast and dinner) isn't... more

Good location in the middle of the Etosha Park. Not welcoming reception. The bush chalet was under our expectations. Large bathroom but with no door. No amenities: soap or shampoo or hairdryer. Cozy room with refrigerator. Fairly good restaurant with average service. more

The waterhole at Halali isn't as strong as Okaukeujo's, but where is? That said, we enjoyed watching black rhinos, hyenas and plenty of others at Halali's waterhole. Like Okaukeujo, the rooms have recently been renovated but are overpriced (by comparison with accommodation provided by South African National Parks in Kruger) and the camp shop is very weak for those looking... more

This, to me, is a step down from Okaukuejo lodge. The location and the service were comparable, but the room was smaller and we had a power cut. The waterhole was a bit far from the viewing area, which in itself is quite small so people just needed to move around and found a rock to sit on. The variety... more
