We stayed 2 nights in the hotel on a recent weekend trip to Graskop. Overall the hotel is quite nice. A lot of effort has been put into the decor and it shows. Rooms are fairly small. There were 2 things which were annoying. To park the car in the hotel parking lot you have to get a gate remote... more

After spending time in Kruger National Park, we requested 2 x garden suites for our stay in Graskop. Upon our arrival and to our horror we were shown two rooms with concrete floors - no carpets or even tiling. We were most disappointed and cannot understand how a hotel can actually allow guests to stay in a room that clearly... more

Perfect spot in so far as you are right in town, walking distance with secure parking. The thing is, its just loud not only the occasional guest but the place itself. the floors walking, you could everyone through the paper thin doors, the neighboring rooms as no insulating properties for sound and the staff that seem to congregate and chat... more

There is sound insulation between bedrooms. Smoking is not permitted (with exception of the bar) in public areas, this includes reception, none of our reception staff are smokers, so I can only presume this was a different hotel?

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after the Easter Holidays to explore the area as part of our South African road trip. Graskop is an excellent base to explore this extraordinary area of Mpumalanga it is very close to Pilgrims rest and the beautiful Blyde River Canyon. The Graskop Hotel is one of the few non-self catering accommodations... more

I stayed at the Graskop Hotel enroute betweem Johannesburg and the Kruger. It took me around 5 hours to get to Graskop from Joburg airport (I wasn't driving that fast). The hotel is in the centre of this small town and I had one of the small cabin style rooms at the back of the hotel with a table and... more

My friend's Mum booked this hotel on line, with experience of having been to Graskop before, but never to this hotel. She got a good deal for 2 garden rooms. The hotel itself is very quirky and funky and is full of art from SA artists. Amazing stuff and its all round the hotel so you can see everything and... more

In April 2008, two colleagues and I, working in Jo'burg, decided to travel to the Blyde River Canyon, which is definitely worth visiting. The nature around here is amazing. During this weekend trip we stayed at the Graskop Hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised. The mostly wooden hotel is very stylish and is full of South African works of art,... more

We stayed for one night and booked a double room but the double beds were very small. Next day all the rooms were open for airing and the twins were much better, 2 singles together. Very quirky artist designed rooms. Comfortable and clean. Hotel very quiet when we were there. Staff not very friendly but efficient. Serves breakfast only. No... more

"a dream of good taste and comfort !" I stayed in Graskop Hotel for one week. Two nights in a garden room and 6 nights in one of the stunning rooms decorated by south african artists. Absolutely delicious buffet breakfast : they make some excellent home bread and scones (the best I had ever had in my life !). Very... more
