We spent 02 nites beginning April just at the turn of the season , the start of the indian summers. The name "Taj Darbar" is so deceptive had no architecture nor interiors to suit the name. It is just a 02 star but the rates are of 05 star, our stay could we call it comfortable??? we a 03 bedded... More

This hotel is located within walking distance of the Mahabodhi Temple & The Bodi Tree where Lord Buddha gained enlightenment, though there are plenty of Rickshaws (Manual & Motor) if you prefer a ride. There is a shop in the lobby where you can buy Pashminas if you prefer not to bargain outside. The restaurant is good with very attentive... More

We stayed here for two nights and found the hotel in good working order and staff had gone the extra mile to make the hotel feel like a 5-star western hotel (although the room fittings while nice are not quite at that level). It is a km or two out of the centre of town but it would be easy... More

Our room was very clean with two bathrooms. It was quite and we had an open view of the monastry near by. There were bottles of complimentry... More

I stayed here just for one night in November. Chose the hotel because I got in at 7.30pm (too late to go the the monastery I'd planned on staying at), and the Lonely Planet quoted the price as 2500-2800rupee for a single room and their own website quotes 2800rupee. The actual price for a single room is 4500rupee... quite a... More

I have booked "A/C Deluxe Room" with cleartrip as they offered the best price. We arrived to hotel in the early afternoon, quickly checked-in and then went to see Main Temple. Unfortunately hotel is quite a distance from the centre of Bodh Gaya. Of course you can take a taxi or rickshaw, but being foreign tourist it is almost guaranteed... More

I thought this one sounded the best of the lot on TripAdvisor and maybe it is. But I was going to Gaya for business and had to stay somewhere. They showed me two rooms. One had one of those foam slab mattresses that are too hard when placed on a wooden platform. I chose the one with a coil mattress.... More
