Nice Clean big rooms, perfect location and the best thing is Monica and her staff!! The shared toilet is very clean and you do not share it with more than one other room! You can enjoy you breakfast in the sun at the roof terrace! A nice guesthouse(more like a homestay) well worth the money!

This is my 2nd time to Nepal and when I just arrived Bhaktapur from Tibet, the owner of the guest house asked me to get in. And then I stayed. Very clean room and common bath. It's not easy to get a very nice shower with hot water in Nepal. I must say the facility is very nice here. I... More

The guest house is very centrally located. It consists of six rooms. Three at the front, the two upper with balcony. These three are located on a lively street. The three rooms at the back are smaller, but much more quiet. Each floor has a shared bathroom. This looks fine. Twice a day is the electricity in Bhaktapur down. Through... More

Great stay at Nyatapola Guest House! One of the cleanest and tidiest accomodation of Nepal for a really reasonable price. I have just been welcomed by the energetic and smiling Manika, who runs the house together with his husband. The rooms, in a traditional and fascinating ancient wooden Newari residence, have comfortable beds ... so that your back doesn't pain... More

Wrote an extensive review here: http://www.photocs.net/nyatapola-guest-house-bhaktapur-nepal The Nyatapola Guest House has a home-stay feel with its six well-furnished rooms, an upstairs kitchen where you can find the family cooking/eating and a rooftop terrace where you can catch local families living out their lives and see snow-caped mountains on a clear day. Two room sizes are available: single – which offers... More

Diwali 2011, no rooms available in ordinary hotels in Bhaktapur - thanks to a wonderful coincidence we happened to end up at Manika's guest house and felt at home from the very first moment. Neat and clean rooms, definitely inexpensive, delicious, freshly cooked local food, great roof-top with view to the real mountains, centrally located, but most of all: wonderful... More

I spent a full week at Manika guest house and her family, I had a remarquable time sharing the family life with them, eating my meals with them. Progressive family of a beautiful town of Backtapur, a world heritage, many activities can start from there if you prefer to be out of Kathmandu. The rooms are very clean, bathrooms brand... More

I toured the rooms in October 2011 after meeting Manika and found them to be very clean, lovely and the location was excellent. I am looking forward to going back and staying there.

A nice family-run guesthouse with clean and simple, inexpensive semi-private rooms (toilets and bathrooms are shared by 2 rooms on each floor) in a renovated traditional building at the heart of the historical district. Woodcarving art shop on the first floor. A pleasant alternative to more formal establishments.
