I was told of this place by friends who enthused about what was on offer. Its not easy to find as it's off the main road/trekking path but it has a web site that tells you how to get there - Google- Lodge Thasang Village. At the moment its a hard foot slog up a hill to get there but they are building a road soon which will improve access.

Rather than an hotel, its a very high quality trekking lodge (totally unlike anything else you will find on the tourist circuit) with absolutely beautiful heated rooms with all 4 star amenities, 24 hour electricity and gas fired hot water on tap, all very unusual features in the Mustang/Kali Gandaki Region.

It only has around 10 rooms so its never going to get too crowded and the food is ethnic local if you want or western if that is what your heart desires. There are two dining areas, one with hot tables (where there is a heater under the table to keep your legs warm! ) and another oper cafe type area. Food is good and well served... more
