Our first stop in country France was Le Chevrefeuille and what a wonderful find. Sara and Ian have created a peaceful, clean, and beautiful getaway set in the lovely countryside of France. Everything you could possibly want is supplied and the hosts are truly great. You can have dinner several evenings of each week and breakfast is fantastic. The restoration... more

We stayed in Le Chevrefeuille for six nights in May with our baby (6 months old), and loved every minute of it. The hosts, Sara and Ian were warm and helpfull, their charming children were lovely and the atmosphere as a whole was calm and very relaxing. The place itself is beautiful, clean and very-well taken care of. The village... more

Sara & Ian have a little peace of heaven here. Wonderful views. Excellent walks and not far from all the tourist places. We wish we could have experienced more of Ian's cooking but Sara suggested excellent places to eat near by on the nights Ian was not cooking. A longer return visit is a must for us. Judith & Graham... more

Unless you insist on a swimming pool and/or hate children, you must stay at Le Chevrefeuille while visiting the Dordogne! Ian and Sara are the most gracious hosts you will find anywhere, as are their handsome son and beautiful toddler daughter. Le Chevrefeuille's location is truly idyllic -- like in the movies. It is in the tiny hamlet of Pechboutier... more

We are looking forward to our third consecutive year at Le Chevrefeuille with our two girls (now aged 9 and 10) and that says it all. We called it our sunflower holiday in 2007 and then the lady in the farm next door didn't replant in 2008, we hope she does this year. This has been the best holiday experience... more

We were the last visitors to Le Chevrefeuille, in the third week of October 2008. Ian and Sara were trying to prepare for a holiday for themselves in Spain, but they gave us every attention to meet our needs. They are perfect hosts, and once we have scrounged together some money (given the world's current fiscal situation, and my ever-diminishing... more

The place is just perfect for those with a small family, it's situated in a beautiful and fantasticly relaxing quiet surronding area. We stayed in one of the spaceous and comfortable gites that was very well fitted with everything that we needed, it even had its own little private terrace which was equipped with a barbeque. Sara and Ian were... more

We are a family of 5 and had the good fortune to stay at Le Chevrefeuille for 3 nights. We would have loved to extend our stay! The owners Sara and Ian are wonderful hosts and will bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable, and the setting is absolutely lovely.... more
