We have been visiting this beautiful hotel for many years, and have always found it a haven of peace and tranquility. After a long walk in the wonderful countryside, to sit on the balcony of our room with an aperitif , listening to the calls of buzzards and kites over the rocky crags behind the hotel is wonderfully relaxing. What a disappointment! We had really arrived full of hope. Outwardly attractive enough but then you quickly observe it has a cheerless atmospher. A minor point, I know, but - on a hot evening - we soon found that the seats in the garden are more for show than for comfort. And the lounge - the only airconditioned part it... more

After reading many positive comments in various guides, we booked for 2 nights in a regular room of this hotel. What a disappointment: our room (number 9) was very small and the decoration felt very cheap and outdated. Nevertheless the price was rather high: 115 Euros excluding breakfast!
