Great service from the owner's daughter, who speaks fluent English. Wonderful, unparalled location and views in a great old building. Rooms are small and spartan.

Spent 2 nights at the Vignemale. The staff is most friendly and welcoming. The building is superb, the rooms a bit dated but the beds are comfortable, the hotel quiet, a little apart from the small village. The views of the cirque of Gavarnie are breathtaking, immediate access to great hikes.

Magnificent building with beautiful views and setting. Very welcoming staff, always willing to assist. Good parking facilities for one day. We could leave our car while on 3 day hiking trips. Very calm location away from a busy touristic town.

The only thing "Grand" about the Hotel Vignemale is the view. We stayed there at the end of September when they were just about to close for the season, and we were the only guests, but even so the facilities were very disappointing. The owners were so warm a friendly. I felt at home immediately. The breakfast was wonderful. The vista from the hotel is incredible--facing the Gavarnie Glacier--a view beyond description it's so beautiful. My room was attractive, spotlessly clean, and well-appointed. I had a great stay, and plan to go back again, this time for a longer stay.

This is our first stay. From the reservation to the stay experience, the owners were amazingly given of their time. We were helped from our daily walks to our weekly laundy!! The view is amazing. The room was very comfortable and spotless. The continental breakfast were wonderful and the fresh squeezd orange juice delicious.

This was our second stay. The service was excellent throughout. The bikes were taken off us at the front door and parked - just as if we had arrived in a limo! The view is awesome. The room was very comfortable and spotless. The food was very good. I could not fault the place in any way
