I found this hotel to be nice, but -- as others have mentioned -- a bit worn. (A "3" rating.) Not worth the regular rates, but good if you get "a deal." And I would stay there again, EXCEPT for one thing. Upon checkout, I found in addition to my restaurant charge a $2.75 "Hotel Energy Tax" added to my... more

This is a large hotel who's customers are mostly airline employees and business travelers. The rooms vary in size depending on the reservation, but all have beds with clean sheets, comfortable matreses, and four pillows per bed. The furniture is plane and the carpets are older, but clean. The bathrooms are spotless with thick and plentiful towels, but are older.... more

I stayed at the Metropolitan for 2 nights for a convention over July 25-27 weekend. The shuttle came quickly and even had free water bottles and candy/snacks, which was a nice touch! Check in was very smooth, the reception staff were excellent. Then, I got to room 327, which faced the freeway. The room had 2 double beds and on... more

We stayed here the previous year and were quite happy. In one year, the hotel took a real dive. We were disappointed that our room was much smaller than the previous year (although we booked the same thing) and the rugs were dirty. We left the kids in the room to go to the hotel restaurant to have a drink... more

I selected this hotel blind from Hotwire based on its listing as a 3-star, being conveniently located next to the airport, and the $69/night price. The hotel had all of the 3-star amenities it was supposed to, and to all outward appearances seemed to be a decent property. However, the hotel's upkeep leaves much to be desired: 1) There were... more

... but it's not very nice in 2008. Room smelled of urine and carpets are ancient. Elevators are cramped and need to be refurbished. The curtains are inadequate for blocking out light and are also very old. TV channel selection is incomplete. The general feel of the entire part of the hotel where the rooms are is very tired and... more

We were flying from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to New Hampshire in January. We were supposed to have a 2 hour layover in Detroit; however, our flight was late and we missed our connection. North West Airlines had to find over 200 people hotel rooms since it was their fault. If you could only imagine the stress that this caused everyone.... more

I stayed here overnight before a recent flight. I booked this hotel through Priceline and called the hotel to make sure that I would get a non-smoking room. I was assured that I would-in fact the person stated that they automatically give non-smoking. However, when I got there, I was told that they were fully booked and the only room... more

Stayed here one night in January on a priceline deal of $45. The rooms are 'actually nice as is the lobby. The halways smell and are dirty as other reviewers have noted. Worst part, I had only warm water not suitable for a shower. I didn't try to solve the problem because I had to leave so early in the... more

book here if you get a good deal, average hotel if you're not fussy the good: - comfortable beds - free internet - pool - close to airport with free shuttle the bad: - room wasn't 100% clean: used cup left on desk, pistachio shells on floor - signage in room offers replacement toiletry items but they didn't have any... more
