This place is terrible. There is something to be said for having a room with a bed, but this place isn't even trying. In the room there is still this original stove\sink\refrigerator thing in the corner taking up half of the room and looks like it might just catch fire at any moment. We have stayed at this Travelodge every summer for the last five years. It is the best location, price and value for your money. It is an older property, but is well kept. There is really no better location in the area- Beaumont Hospital is across the street, Birmingham and downtown Detroit is a short drive away. more

Nice place in a good area 4 miles north of Detroit, giving the safety of the suburbs but not too far away from Wayne State, Greektown, Belle Isle, etc. Hotel itself is typical, but clean with nice cottage-like rooms in back for weekly stays. OK place to stay. Clean rooms if dated. Cloest to Royal Oak and the only one in Royal Oak that I would stay. Everything else is a drive away. more
