I'm glad I stumbled upon this place because it had all the amenities (free cable TV, internet access, free breakfast) of the big chain hotels without the highway-robbery price.
The owner was extremely nice. He even drove me to the shop when my car broke down. The room was big, clean, comfortable and cheap, and the coffee and free breakfast was good too.
When I'm back in Sault Ste. Marie, I"ll head straight for the Royal, and save half the money that the chain hotels (Holiday Inn, Motel 6, Days Inn) would have charged me. more
