We spent 3 lovely nights at the Wellington Inn. I had never even heard of Traverse City but my wife went to the University of Michigan and she has always wanted to vacation in northern Michigan so away we went. The city is wonderful and the Wellington Inn is the place to stay. As other reviewers have noted. the house... more

Everything comes together at this B & B. My spouse and I both have a general interest in older homes, but neither of us have a passion one way or the other for the particular era of this house. Instead, I was looking for a special place where other travelers had been impressed with the accommodations and service. I was... more

The house is huge and gorgeous. If you love antiques, this is the place for you. We stayed in the Woosley suite...it has it's own seating area. The antiques in the seating area were a bit uncomfortable though...so we didn't do much sitting there. I feel bad saying it, because the owners are so nice and friendly, but our bed... more

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend over the 4th taking in the sights and sounds of the Traverse City Cherry Festival while staying at the Wellington. The great breakfasts each morning were delightful and got us going each day. Each day was filled with great activities, air show, fireworks, great restaurants each evening, car show (discovering Old Town Traverse), new... more

My husband and I went on our first vacation sans children in 6 years. He picked the Wellington for romance- and that they don't all young children overnight. It was everything we wanted and more! The innkeepers, Barb and Hank, were beyond helpful, friendly and attentive. The house was immaculate, the food superb and the company, both day and night,... more

Our favorite place by far to stay when we go to Traverse City is the Wellington Inn Carriage House. The Wellington Inn is a beautiful bed and breakfast where you can pleasure yourself in an atmosphere from a century ago yet have all the conveniences of home. We often take advantage of the unique delicious breakfasts which hosts and owners... more

My husband to be, booked this wonderful bed and breakfast. We went to Traverse city for a wedding. During our stay he proposed and surprised me with a night at the inn. The inn keepers are fabulous! They will go out of there way to make your stay special. The breakfast is to die for. They could open a breakfast... more

Visited Traverse city for the first time as part of a 2 week Anniversary trip and my husband and and I could not have asked for a more beautiful place than the Wellington Inn- We booked the Woosley Suite which was spacious and decorated beautifully as was each and every room in this Antique-Lover's Inn - the breakfast was ample... more

Live like a lumber baron multimillionaire of 1910 for a week. This beautifully restored mansion with an excellent collection of antiques is a memorable experience in the ambiance of 100 years ago.. Very convenient for walking to downtown Traverse City shops, restaurants, city-county government center, Grand Traverse Co. courthouse, TC library. Host Hank and Barb are very helpful with advise... more
