Booked hotel to use reward card from Best Western and to be closer to Detroit to go to baseball game the next day. We were very disappointed with stay and had stayed at many Best Western hotels before. The rooms are quite old looking and worn. Best Western of Whitmore Lake is obviously an older hotel (1970s) right next to I-23. The owners have done some simple upgrades, such as replacing floor coverings, bathroom countertops, heating/cooling units. But the mattresses were hard and the freeway noise was still audible even with the fan turned on due to exterior corridors. I have a difficult time falling asleep... more
