My husband and I got engaged at Lindgren's in 1994, and went back every year over Labor Day weekend until we became parents (they do not accept children. Depending on the room you get, it's great - if you get the highest-end room, there is an in-room jacuzzi with a fabulous view of Lake Superior (the inn is right on the lakeshore). Shirley Lindgren, the proprietor, was quite picky about things and left a lot of notes around the house that could be a bit overbearing, and which did, to be honest, detract from the experience. One of the best things about the place, though, was Margit, the Swedish lady who did all the cooking. Sweet, friendly, and an amazing cook! She retired a few years ago, and I'd heard that Shirley was trying to sell the place.If you like b&b's, it's a good experience. If you want classy, elegant accomodations, there are other places that are better for about the same price. more
