We had a wonderful stay at the Westin in downtown Minneapolis. You'd have to be a pretty miserable person to complain about this place. This was the 4-star downtown Minneapolis hotel on Hotwire. We paid $71/night for our King room. An incredible deal; so much so that we felt like we were stealing the room for that price. This is... more

The Westin Minneapolis is located in a very nice old Mid-Century Bank Building. It's nice how they seemed to leave the lobby and restaurant area, all located in one big room, untouched from when it was a very impressive bank back in the day. Check in was speedy, helpful and preformed with respect. One must take into account that the... more

Beautiful building, modern rooms and attentive service. This converted bank has a sweeping lobby that harkens to the 1930s. My corner room was very large, with a flat screen television, good wireless access (charge) and a terrific bathroom and shower. Highly recommend the downtown Westin. more

We stayed at the Westin Minneapolis for 3 nights over the Memorial Day weekend. We were blown away by the spectacular architecture of the physical building. As many have indicated the lobby and hotel restaurant are housed in the old Farmers and Mechanics Savings bank that was erected in 1941. You will get your best view of the building from... more

My wife and I wanted to get away for a night, so we decided to play tourist in our own town. We found a good rate of $89/night and decided to give the Westin a shot. I really have nothing negative to say about the property - it was clean, beds were very comfortable, room was nice, staff was pleasant.... more

My family loved the hotel--and I only found one downside to the renovation that Westin has accomplished on this historic (former bank) property--the 2-room suites have interior bedrooms with no windows--this did not work for me our my spouse, and now I know to ask when reserving a hotel suite anywhere in the world--does my sleeping room have a window? more

Got an excellent price on Priceline. By signing up to their ?starwood? plan at check in got bumped up to a nice room with a view. All of the hotel, lobby, hallways, rooms are beautifully updated. Staff was extremely attentive. Our room safe was locked, my call had someone to fix it in less than 10 minutes. Valet parking was... more

We booked a room on Hotwire, and specified that there were 4 people staying in the room. When we checked in we re-stated that we needed two beds. When we got up to the room we had one king sized bed. We called down and were told that we'd have to pay an extra 20 dollars a night for two... more

This hotel is very beautiful and centrally located. I would stay here again if in Minneapolis. Front desk did not greet me with my Starwood status, nor were they able to upgrade me OR give me the king bed I booked as the hotel was full. I was told I'd get a room with a view. View was lacking and... more

This is my favorite hotel in Minneapolis, this having stayed in hotels such as The Grand, The Graves, Radisson, Sheraton, etc. While the hotel is new, it still shines like it just opened yesterday when the hotel was converted from one of those grand banks of long ago. The hotel's designers went to great lengths to keep much of that... more
