We have spent several spring and fall vacations at Big Timber over the past 8 years. Preston and Penny have been excellent hosts during our long and not-so-long stays. We enjoy our time relaxing, fishing and watching the grandkids play at the beach. The quiet of the evening fire time, breathtaking sunsets and the loons singing keep us coming back... More

Fun time had by all. Sitting around the campfire while the sun goes down, kids laughing and having fun. Couldn't ask for a more ideal location. Great beach for the kids and lots of fishing fun for all ages. We come back every year and enjoy it more and more. Penny and Preston are great!

The fishing always good, the beach and cabins clean, and great hospitality from the owners Preston and Penny. We are a big family and have made great memories at Big Timber Lodge that will last us a lifetime! If you are... More

Let's start with the lake. The 3rd Crow Wing lake is an abundant fisherie. It was rainy and lets say not the best weather conditions, but our party caught more than enough fish. Wonderful lake. The cabins are older, but are put together nicely. There are plenty of things to do close by as well. We all had a really... More

Our mistake. We rented to an Agribusiness who was sponsoring a 'free' 3 day fishing (and drinking) party for their 40+ best customers. We are a family resort with family values and should not have rented to a group that: -Helped themselves to shovels from behind the closed doors of the shop (and left the lights on) so that they... Our family has been coming to Big Timber for years! Our boys are grown now, but we still all come back as a family year after year, none of us would miss it! The knotty pine cabins are comfortable and the atmosphere is relaxed. Not a lot of frills in the cabin (be ready to do your own dishes!) but... More

Big Timber Lodge has left my family with a home away from home. Quiet and private location with access to several lakes. The cabins are clean and spacious with many styles to choose from. My family and I had a wonderful time and will return again. As far as things to do as a family there are many. Big Timber... More

Big Timber is a repeat destination once or twice a year for our family. The Turners always make us feel welcome and the setting is so very relaxing. We come to fish a little, relax and enjoy the peaceful time away from everyday life. The cabins are always clean and in good repair. The Turner's always make sure the time... More
