It is a real pain I have to agree, there is a second set of stairs, but sadly they they only open to the outside at the rear of the hotel at ground level, bit strange..... Of the two (TWO!) elevators in this hotel only one was working during our stay. Which would not have been so bad, except for the fact that the hotel was completely booked out due to a wedding and on average you could wait up to 20 minutes for the elevator. Considering this is a hotel people go to for the water park, the 4:00 check in is ridiculous...and they are serious about it...no fudging it an hour or two early. And then the check out is at 11:00. I was there during 5 days and I consider returning there in my next trip, even if you go to Mineapolis, that is so close, a half of hour in car. I read all the reviews and so I was pretty prepared. On Saturday afternoon we arrived to find the waterpark pretty crowded. The hotel lets non-guests buy wristbands so there were a few birthday parties. There are only 4 or 5 tables and they were all full. For what we paid and what we had in mind, this was a great experience. The waterpark is great for small children but the bigger slides were fun as well. The staff was fantastic.
