My husband and I stayed at the Rose Arbor Inn, Saint Paul, MN in late May and were very disappointed. Because the proprietor wasn't on site, we let ourselves in and found our room. We tried to turn the stereo/CD player on, but it didn't work. We were chilly and tried to figure out how to start the fireplace and couldn't. Without music and heat, the evening wasn't that great. The next morning, we went down for breakfast and found freshly brewed coffee. Next to the coffee were some pre-packaged breakfast bars and two unappetizing pastries. The proprietor was still no where to be found. My husband and I looked at each other, decided we had had enough of the Rose Arbor Inn and went out for breakfast at Cafe Latte.

Later that week my husband spoke with the proprietor and asked that we get our money back ($150). Instead he charged us for a smaller, less expensive room and there was no offer to have us back.

I recommend that tourists look for another desination... more
