This is probably one of the best AmericInns in the tri-state area. The rooms are new, aesthetically pleasing, with flat screen T.V.s, extremely comfortable beds, and very clean. They provide a couple of complimentary bottles of water in every room, which is very rare for a 2 star motel. The pool area is clean, large, with a sauna and hot tub. My young cousins absolutely LOVED the pool. There were some pool toys that they really enjoyed, too. The breakfast is better than most 2 star motel breakfasts. Along with the usual fare, they serve extras, such as veggie egg rolls, sausage, and french toast (hot). The breakfast area is spacious, sunny, and very clean. The staff is professional, attentive, and very courteous. Highly recommend!! more

Spent the night of Oct. 29th at the AmericInn in St. Peter, MN. We were in St. Peter for my brothers' wedding reception and hotel worked fab for us as it was just a short drive to the reception site. Tons of relatives were in the motel and did not hear a single complaint from anyone. I felt bad as Sunday a.m. we took over the breakfast area but hey, there were lots of us there! Breakfast was good and included make it yourself waffles. Everyone from my 2 year-old 2nd cousin to my 70 year-old father found lots to eat and drink at the free breakfast. Room was nicely soundproofed as I didn't hear the 2 year old cry and she was next door. My niece and nephews enjoyed the pool. Plenty of towels which is nice. Room was clean. If we need to go back to St. Peter I would not hesitate to stay there.
