Based on Microtel's classification as a "budget" level hotel, no one should be expecting accomodations similar to a Marriott or even a Holiday Inn. However, for the size of Springfield (about 2,000 people), this hotel is a very appropriate fit.
We stayed at this Microtel for 1 night while visiting my grandparents who live a few miles away. My mom and I booked a room with 2 queen beds over the phone and we received the AAA rate of $55, which seemed very reasonable. Since the hotel is fairly new (opened in 2006), the facility is in very good condition. If you've stayed at a Microtel before, you should know exactly what to expect since the rooms and hotel layout are essentially the same at each location.
