This Band B has been carefully restored to it's original beauty. Much of the original flooring, woodwork , fireplaces can still be seen. Each bedroom is lovely and has it's own bath. Breakfast was delicious, too. We will definitely stay here again. more

Tom and Sandy, the current owners of this fabulous bed and breakfast, have the gift of making one feel like they are the first and most important guest ever to grace their home. I spent one night in the gorgeous, and impeccably decorated, "Ellen" room. Immaculately clean, warm, comfy--and the linens and towels, oh my! No cutting corners anywhere. The... more

A group of 5 of us, staying for two nights, in four rooms, were all very pleased with our recent "girls getaway" at the William Sauntry Mansion. We enjoyed the lovely rooms, with whirlpools and great furnishings. The breakfasts were elegant with great food. The hosts were helpful with sights to see. A great place, we hope to go back... more

Stillwater, Mn. is just NE of the twin cities, on the St. Croix river next to Wisconsin. It is the oldest town in Mn. Mansions (and B&B's) abound, but Tom and Sandy Lynum, Innkeepers, made our 4 night stay very special. The mansion, a historic landmark, is well appointed, and filled with beautiful wood...from the inlaid flooring to furniture...most 100+... more

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the William Sauntry Mansion. It was extremely delightful in every aspect. Tom and Sandy were welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Tom offered a free upgrade which we gladly accepted. The home has been beautifully tended to with authentic replication... more

We stayed here every month for more than a year for work and found the hospitality welcoming; the food delicious, from simple and elegant egg dishs to sinfully delicious deserts; and the rooms were lovely, with Swiss showers or deep dish tubs. Every meal or snack was homemade and sophisticated. The moring conversations with Tom and Sandy were lively and... more

We recently stay at the Wm. Sauntry Mansion, our first time at a B&B, and had a great stay. The rooms had everything you could imagine, beautiful bed, private bathroom, fireplace and whirlpool. The breakfast provided by Sandy, 5 course btw, was outstanding, better than what you would get in a 5 star hotel. The innkeepers Tom and Sandy are... more

We recently stayed at the William Sauntry Mansion when attending a wedding in Stillwater. We had problems right away when booking our room. I booked in 5 months in advance and when I called to confirm my reservations, Tom didn't seem to have any idea who I was...even though I had emails to confirm our communication. Reluctantly we signed up... more

This review is an unfair, and partially untrue, representation of the facts. What occured was that a bride booked the entire house for her wedding party, with the bride and groom also staying with us. The bride reserved all six rooms and guaranteed them with her credit card. The guests were to subsequently phone us and reserve rooms providing their...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the Beltram room and it was beautiful. I really enjoyed the whirlpool tub and the fireplace was very nice. The decor of the room and especially of the main level of the house was so awesome. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful and made us feel so... more

My wife and I drove down from Canada and stayed at the William Sauntry Mansion for 5 nights near the end of July, 2007. The mansion was a beautiful combination of authentic beauty and luxury. It was filled with lovely antiques and art work giving it a turn-of-the-century feel. Our room had a spacious bath room with steam shower and... more
