The resort is set back from the main road and is right alongside Lake Superior. The lake was right outside our window of cabin #4, which had a kitchen and bathroom but the shower is in another building. The bedroom walls don't go all the way to the top, so you wouldn't want to stay here if you needed much privacy, it is more like a hotel room. The beds weren't very comfortable, could use new mattresses, but worked well when very tired from a long day hiking.
The owners live on site and it is a very well kept up and pretty property. The best part of our stay was the fire we had on the rocks of the lake. There is a little alcove out of the wind, and you could see millions of stars. However beware they provide no chairs for sitting on the lake shore. Bring your own if you want a fire. This resort is best for relaxing as there aren't many activities to do on the property besides sitting and looking. You can drive to many nearby state parks for hiking etc.
