Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel's Favourite
We were at the Drury for 3 nights doing storm recovery services in Jackson. Barry, the General Manager was the absolute best at accommodating our crew and went over and above to make sure we were taken care of. The front desk attendants were efficient and friendly. The ladies who prepare breakfast and the afternoon Kickback meal were wonderful and always greeted us with smiling faces and worked so hard to make sure we had all we needed. The cleaning staff did a great job of making sure our rooms were clean and well stocked with all we needed. I've always loved Drury Inn and this has been the best yet!

WHOA! Super mega awesome nice! Drury is now my GO TO place to stay. The value point here is above and beyond. Amenity after amenity. Breakfast, pool, bar, reasonable lobby shop, target next door, Awesome desk help lots of hot water, super dooper clean. Nothing beats the smell of fresh lysol when you open to door to your hotel room. It just let's you know you're home.

A family member had suggested checking out a Drury Hotel and this was the 1st time we reserved a room. Didn't know the routine, but quickly learned and enjoyed the happy hour food as well as breakfast the next morning. We'll certainty be staying at another Drury in the future!

While the room was fine, I had to deal with a drunk server at the bar during dinner. The lady from the front desk did come over to the bar and take over from the drunk..I stay at Drury’s whenever possible, but will never stay at this one again. If management will allow a drunk bartender to make a fool of herself, and subject customers to that, I must wonder how the food is prepared and that’s important.

I am very sorry that you experienced an issue with our bartender. Our goal is to make our guests feel comfortable and safe and unfortunately, you did not feel that way. I am including my e-mail address. If it would not be too much of a hassle, could you e-mail me your contact information so we can discuss this further so I can address this matter and take the necessary steps to ensure you never experience this again? Thank you Blake Barry.Zinke@druryhotels.com

I am hotels around 20 days a month. The reason I give 5 stars was the staff. I can’t remember the Last time I can say that. From the housekeepers To the security at 11pm who found some salt packets For my wife who was dealing with a sore throat. Couldn’t of been nicer

Sadly, this hotel needs updating Rooms and common areas are tired and worn out Apparently it’s a popular place with ball teams so it gets used and maybe abused at times so I feel Drury needs to address the condition of the property ……….,..,,,,

Ridiculously crowded. I’ve stayed at many Drury’s packed with ball teams and they don’t come close to how crowded the common areas at this hotel are. There is no way everyone is actually a paying guest here. Big mistake putting a back door by the pool - watched two big groups of people knock and get let into the hotel door and then the pool. Dinner area was crazy crowded and a mess. I felt bad for the people trying to keep food stocked and the area clean. Watched a lady grab hotdogs out of the warmer with her hands. Checked in at 6pm and was sent to a room that had just started being cleaned. Again, I felt sorry for the staff. The room looked like a frat party had taken place in there - chips all over the floor, sticky drinks spilled on every counter and tabletop. Came upstairs to hear a lady screaming cuss words in her room that could be heard way down the hall. Room was ready by 7pm, but a cupcake liner was behind the trash can and the carpet was sticky in a few places. As I lie in bed, someone’s music is loud and I’m wondering why I didn’t just keep on driving tonight. Definitely would never come back and would not recommend staying here. Shame on you, Drury. You’re our favorite hotel chain and this night is a disaster. Judging from other reviews, this is the norm here and not just a bad night.

Response from Drury Hotels, Owner at Drury Inn & Suites Jackson Ridgeland
Responded 17 Jul 2023
I apologize for your less than satisfactory stay. While we did experience a rush of business in recent weeks; that should not have affected your visit in the ways that it did. We are addressing the room cleanliness issue by investing in new carpeting and furniture as well as cleaning furniture weekly. By your pictures, it was apparent that you were checked into a room that should not have been sold. I take full responsibility for that mistake. In regards to the overcrowding, we do have an on-site security guard as well as other systems in place to prevent exactly what happened. The systems did not work and I will work with my team to ensure they (the systems) are successful in the future so no other guests experience what you experienced. This is not indicative of the level of service we attempt to provide our guests and we will continue to work on improving so future stays are much more satisfactory. Barry Z. General Manager

We always choose Drury based on the staff, the rooms, the kickback and great breakfast. We stayed at this same motel a few years ago and chose to stay here coming home from the beach. We will never stay at this Drury ever again. This motel is the nastiest, dirtiest motel we have ever seen. When we arrived, we first noticed how busy it was. Stephanie was apparently by herself and doing what she could to check in people. After getting our room, we always check the beds and bathroom. The sheets were damp on both beds, the floor had not been vacuumed and was stained heavily. I went back to the desk. She moved us to a king suite, since no doubles were left. We entered this room and the musty smell of mold and mildew hit our noses. This room was even worse than the other. I went back asked her for some air spray or something to remove the foul smell and she said can’t help ya there. Asked if we had a fabric freshener with us. Like no. I don’t normally travel with air freshener for our motel stay. We had no choice but stay in this room since we just needed sleep and was not changing motels. We sprayed some cologne to keep it somewhat reasonable. The floor was stained in the room worst than the other. Their was food left in the fridge. Shower had not been cleaned, so we avoided that. I went down to the desk once more and asked if their was security in the motel, was assured yes their was. We did not feel safe in the motel considering the type of clients this motel had managed to attract. I found the security guard sitting in a chair in one of the halls, playing on her phone, feet propped up as though zero care in the world. The pool was absolutely nasty. The mentioned clients above had allowed over 30 kids to enter the pool unbathed and with enough oil in their hair to turn the pool a brownish gray color and an oil shein across the top of it. Kids were playing with the safety flotation devices, and many other guests I spoke with said had it not been they we’re already stopped and checked in, they would have moved on down the road. Save your time. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. The only amazing experience I had was checking out was easy by just leaving.

I am so sorry for your less than satisfactory stay. While we do our utmost to take care of our guests, we did not do that in your case. The hotel was extremely busy during your stay due to local power outages and you were placed in a room that should not have been sold. That is our mistake and we apologize. We are in the process of renovating rooms such as the one you stayed in so guests do not have the experience you did. Once again, we apologize for your experience and can assure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure future guests do not share your experience. Barry Z. General Manager
