I stay at alot of hotels due to my husband's work, we travel all over the US, for weeks at a time. At this particular hotel I was sitting on the bed watching tv and before I could get to the door it was open and someone would step in, saying "housekeeping" or "maintenence". Thank goodness I wasn't just out of the shower! Multiple times someone on staff, either came into my room or knocked/entered my room, UN-INVITED! On 2 of the occassions, they didn't even knock! Generally everyone know's that if you don't answer the door that housekeeping will let themselves in, and slump out with their apologies due to showers, sleeping, etc. That's happened to me before, but THIS, is unacceptable, unethical, and I'm not so sure it's even legal. I will never stay here again! more
