“Nice hotel for a quick stay”

Stayed at this hotel one night and it was fine. They allow dogs and that is why we booked it. They have a free continential breakfast that is okay. A very small pool. Room was clean and the bed was fine. Basic average hotel.

The non-smoking room reeked of stale smoke so badly that the night clerk offered us another room without us asking. Nice, but why hadn't the housekeeper inspected?
