This was my first B & B experience. I was totally disgusted with the nastiness. I can't believe this place has been vacuumed or cleaned in the last 5 years...maybe longer. Everywhere you looked was just dirty and disgusting! I slept on a towel from the car and covered up with an old picnic blanket we also had in the... more

We could only stay 2 nights but it couldn't have been better. Coffee outside the room in the morning and a fabulous breakfast! Donna is a wonderful cook. The whole family was good to us as were the other guests. It was so nice to be able to talk to each other as there is no television in the rooms.... more

We spent an enjoyable 3 nights here and daytime sightseeing in Hannibal. The breakfasts were wonderful. I stayed at a B&B one time where they served fruit, homemade buiscuts and then homemade bread...What?? We had eggs with mushrooms, green onions plus casserole type additional items. Large muffins & yogurt were also always available. One morning we had overnight french toast... more

I found it extremely difficult to relax here! The place was dirty - I was afraid to take off my shoes and walk barefoot on the carpet which I saw bugs crawling in. It looks like they haven't dusted or vacuumed in 5 years. The breakfast was mediocre (french toast was really good, but we were served scrambled eggs &... more

Less expensive than others; but, as has been pointed out, "you get what you pay for." more

To me the most pleasant experiences of a B & B are the breakfast and the cleanliness of the room--none of which was provided by this particular one. Shabby carpets, small bathrooms, and extremely outdated decour made this a poor experience. The breakfast was no better--something that you would whip up around the house if that was all you had... more

Bob & Paula Ortendahl, from Springifeld, Missouri We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Heaven Sent. Even though Hannibal was quiet during our 3 days there we enjoyed, the charm of the Heaven Sent, the history of building as being a part of the underground railroad, and the general pleasantness. Jeff and Donna were wonderful hosts, and each one cared... more

This is only the 3rd Bed and breakfast I have stayed in, and maybe the first two really spoiled me because they were fantastic, and I must say.. this was not so great. It was priced really low, so I guess that should have told me something. I really don't want to be a complainer, but I will put my... more

I was very surprised to read this review. Although this review was several months after the stay I do remember the guests. First of all I did not have a cold, because of my speech many people ask me if I have a cold. If I am every sick, I would not be the one to prepare breakfast. They did...

When my wife and I stayed at the Heaven Sent Bed and Breakfast in Hannibal, MO, we enjoyed it immensely. First of all, the host and hostess greeted us with a warmth and genuineness that was far more than we though possible. We got introduced to their three daughters, and we enjoyed the children around as well. Our room was... more

My wife and I were disappointed with this B&B. The decor is a bit tacky. For example, the Lighthouse Room has 69 depictions of lighthouses in pictures, statues, towels, drapes, the bedspread and even the toilet seat. Other rooms feature highly personalized decorations and photos that remind you that you are in someone else's home. The breakfast was cold, although... more
