Tarascon, even if not a very famous town to see in Provence, is located in a trategic position to reach easily every great places of the region: Nymes, Arles, Avignon, the Camargue, the Luberon and the Vaucluse. La Rue du Chateau is a B&B very charmuful with great hosts. We had been there in June 2010 and stayed in the... More

We spent 4 days in the beggining of August the charming B&B in Tarascon, because it is in the heart of Camargue. If you decide to stay here you are near Avignoe, Arles, Saint Remy, and Ste. Marie de la Mar, therefore the location is perfect! Tarascon is wonderful little medieval village which is worth visitng as well. We had... More

While Tarascon itself is not a highlight of Provence, it is the perfect, centralized location to tour the entire area; and La Rue du Chateau is an ideal place to stay. Our room was elegantly beautiful and spotlessly clean. A delicious breakfast is served in a lovely courtyard, and every morning our hostess and owner of the inn, Martine, provided... More

Martine was so helpful and made our stay enjoyable! We stayed in the Red Room...so comfortable and beautiful. This was our 7th trip to Europe and we rate this as the most authentic and nicest B&B we have ever stayed in. We highly recommend La Rue du Chateau! More

This was an super chambre d'haute hotel in every respect. The service provided by Martine and Bernard was very personal and friendly and their advice on local places to visit, good restaurants and travel adivce was great. Martine's advice on best time of day to visit etc was faultless and ensured that we saw things at their best -eg restaurants... More

If you can imagine the ideal Provencal town house then this is it. It is a 15th-16th century building with a shaded courtyard in the centre, and a mark showing where the Rhone flood level reached in 1755! We had a lovely big room (on second floor) with air conditioning. Breakfast was in the courtyard surrounded by climbing roses and... More

This Bed and Breakfast is a gem -- located a few blocks from the castle in the historic pedestrian section of the old city. Martine Laraison will welcome you, in fluent English or French, to this remodeled 17th-century home, complete with inner courtyard (where breakfast is served in warm weather).. On-street parking is available a short block away. The rates... More

For our first place to stay on our first trip to France, we hit the jackpot. Lovely room, beautiful courtyard and such nice hosts. Martine and her husband used to be tourists in Provence before becoming part of this charming place. Every morning at breakfast Martine would help us with an itinerary for the day, including great restaurant suggestions in... More

I just got back from a visit to Provence for a wedding and stayed at the Rue du Chateau. It was amazing and I can't wait to get back for a longer stay. Martine, the owner, is fantastic and service oriented. The little courtyard for breakfast was so cute. We had a really lovely stay - and a great breakfast... More

This is a lovely B&B in old Tarascon, very near the Chateau. The rooms are huge and well-furnished. The owners speak very good English, and are very helpful with tips on where to eat and where to go. Breakfast - eaten either indoors or in the courtyard - is excellent. Very good value. More
