I recently stayed at the Gil Good Lodge on a trip to norther ireland from the USA. Not only was the place convenient to all points north it was easy to find and located near enough to town areas and farm areas alike. The lodge was clean and comfortable and the Irish breakfast the the morning was the best I've... more

I stayed here for 14 nights while I visited family, as it is located really close to where my relatives live, and is also really handy for the main road to the airport and Lisburn / Belfast. The hosts Annette and her partner were extremely welcoming and accommodating – arriving after midnight due to a delayed flight was no issue... more

4 of us were holidaying in Northern Ireland for the 1st time & so had no idea what to expect from Gil Good Lodge but on our arrival Annette came out to greet us & all our worries were gone as she made us so welcome, she showed us to our rooms then produced a tray of tea & coffee... more

I stay in hotels all over europe and I can honestly say that the Gil-Good Lodge is a rare find in that it is a small independent hotel with staff who genuinely care that everything is to your satisfaction, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the whole hotel has a real "homely" feel... more

I'm over for business in Northern Ireland pretty often, and this is a great little B&B that is really handy for Belfast International (and Belfast itself) and is a more homely environment when you are travelling and staying regularly - I get really sick of faceless hotels. As well as lovely rooms there is a comfortable sitting room and a... more

I have stayed at the Gil-good on a number of business trips. It has all the facilities that are required but more importantly Annette and James have created a most welcoming and frendly environment in which to stay. You are made to feel more like a welcome house guest than a hotel client. Annette's food is excellent and the full... more

Stayed for 4 weeks on business in the area. Wanted for nothing, Annette, a very caring host, is happy for guests, without taking too many liberties like raiding the fridge at midnight, to make the place your own - plenty of public rooms if you don't want to stay in your guest room all night. The bar is a good... more

Had to travel to NI for several business meetings, found the Gil-Good Lodge with its perfect set-up for me to be able to meet and greet all of my prospective clients at the one location. The service was second to none and the set-up at the lodge was so agreeable that I stayed on for a couple of extra restful... more
