I was dreading it as accommodation is very questionable in Russia. The hotel itself does look as if it’s had some renovation and on first glance it is a room you can deal with, if it’s a protracted stay. This hotel has a good location, easily found. Our welcome was typically Russian, but the staff smiled a bit more once we exchanged keys a few times. And some spoke English. The price TripAdvisor give per night is way off. I realise I went a travel website to book, but the actual cost per night is approx €50 per room.... more

I was traveling with a group of college professors from work. We stayed at the Vladimir Hotel. I never did figure out how much the room cost. It was covered by the city administration of Vladimir. The rooms were neat, lots of old furniture with character. The pillows had lace on them. The shower was interesting, you had to climb... more
