We've been going to this hotel for years. We work on archaeology projects and often bring students. Safety and comfort are a big concern. This is a very nice hotel. Clean, good breakfast, nice pool, good location, etc. There is an internet room with three computers you can used if you need to stay plugged in (which I did, unfortunately, on my trip). The hotel/hostal is really one of the nicer, if not the nicest option to stay in Huanchaco. This was a pretty good place to stay although the property is older and some of rooms could use some updating it still was a good place to stay and it was clean and safe. They offered good services and the food in the restaurant was good. All in all we enjoyed our stay here. more

This place is a block off the beach, but is safe, just as convenient and provided good services. We planned on staying two nights but stayed an extra day because we liked the area so much. Nice, clean, safe, friendly. Parking inside. Good restaurant inside. Heard it was owned by a surfer, too. Used by "Overland" tours--saw one of their buses there. We were on a surf trip up to Pacasmayo, but we did surf one afternoon in Huanchaco and had a good time. more
