The intriguing thing about the Intrigue Park Place was how deserted it was. We stayed on a Friday night. Okay, this is a large hotel in the middle of a corporate executive park and I'm sure most of their business comes from people doing business nearby and they bail out for the weekend. The Kansas City Community College Business &... more

We were there for a tournament. First of all, when you reserve 2 rooms, wouldn't you think they'd be near each other or at least down the hall from each other? Nope; ours were 2 Floors apart. When we finally found our room, we were really disappointed; the room didn't look very clean at all. We had to search for... more

Looks awesome on the inside. We booked it for the Mizzou vs Ku Game. The looks on the outside wasn't too impressive.... but the inside is newly renovated and the rooms are a little plain but very nice and clean. Since it is in the industrial area, the hallways smelled.... but so did that whole area.... but the rooms were... more

I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights in Nov. I usually stay at a chain hotel but the price was right and it was close to family I was going to visit. Imagine my surprise when the first morning upon leaving to go run errands the hallway was soaked with stinky sewer water!!! When I talked to... more

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel. We selected it because of its location near Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. I had read previous negative reviews, but thought we would try it anyway. The check-in process was fairly lengthy. I am not sure if this was due to new personnel or their poor computer system. The... more

Though the hotel is located in an industrial area, its proximity to 435 proved quite handy. The outside looks rather grungy, but the inside has been nicely updated. The beds are quite comfortable and the rooms are modern with plasma tv's. There are no cheesey flower prints anywhere! Our only concern was that the maid came while we were still... more

Customer service is non-existent. The front desk is understaffed and they don't seem to even care that they can't take care of you. A van parked directly behind the car of a member of our party blocking her in. When we went to the clerk at the front desk, her response was, "So what do you want me to do... more

I found this hotel via trip advisor and decided to try it. the front desk is minimally staffed, tho not super friendly, who cares? they looked overworked to begin with. what mattered to me the most was the nicely pointed rooms. it seems that not all rooms are equally renovated, but the one i was in - a king bed... more

Staff is very unfriendly and "don't have time to deal with you." Housekeepers were the nicest employees there. Rooms are dirty even though they say newly renovated. Only half the rooms are renovated and the website misleads you into thinking all rooms are renovated. Most rooms have 2 full size beds instead of a king or 2 queens. The bar... more

This place is horrible. Front desk has no clue as to what they are doing. There is a lagoon on the property and the smell of sewer gas permiates the whole building. Moldy shower curtains. Mold in the room refrigerators. Takes 10 minutes to check out since their antiquated computer system is not user friendly. There are plenty of other... more
