This was my second visit to one of the hillside log cabins. Wilderness Lodge is not fancy, but clean, comfortable, cozy and romantic. The screened porch feels like you are staying in a treehouse. We just returned from a two night stay and really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in a Hillside Cabin that was very quaint and comfortable. Plenty of space and a screened in porch to enjoy the outdoors. We just returned from two days at Wilderness Lodge in Lesterville, Missouri. The lodge is located off Peola Rd., a two lane dirt road outside of town. The lodge actually doesn't sit on the Black River, but back about 200' on the other side of the dirt road. We intended to stay three nights, but after checking in and seeing... more
