My daughter and I were on a road trip that took a few unexpected turns. We had not planned to be in the St. Louis/St. Charles area, but due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up there for a few days while we waited to hear about a job prospect for her in Mississippi. When we realized we would be in the area, we knew immediately that we would go to St. Charles and stay at the Best Western St. Charles Inn because we had stayed there last year and had had a great stay. It felt good to go there again, and without reservations this time, we were offered a very nice room at a reasonable rate. We were glad to be there because it felt familiar and comfortable to us. The hotel has an attractive lobby/entry area and clean, well-appointed rooms. We particularly liked the stairways which were wide, clean, and carpeted and were part of the hotel (not outside the hotel, as some are).
