I got this hotel through priceline.com after I selected 3 star and up in Downtown St. Louis. Most of the 3 star hotels that priceline was offering seemed decent so I figured I'd take my chances. After I had purchased the 2 night stay, I read the reviews on Tripadvisor and was horrified!! All of them from the last year... more

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The room was filthy and poorly maintained, broken fixtures, peeling paint, moldy shower curtain, ect. Worst of all the air conditioning did not work at all, real nice with all three days of our stay being 95 plus degrees with high humidity. The staff did provide... more

Overall very disappointing. The place is rundown, with small rooms, typical drawbacks of an "historic" hotel. I am a fan of character, and we were prepared for those. What we were not prepared for was: (1) the incredibly loud construction noise from an adjoining (touching) building, which reverberated, shaking our room, and continued late into the night and all weekend.... more

This hotel had supposedly been remodeled? It couldn't have been within the last 10 years. The place was like a tomb. We didn't see a single other guest. That in itself was not a bad thing, but in hindsight, maybe there was a reason nobody stayed at this place. The place was FILTHY. There was a pile of cigarette ashes... more

We were really disappointed. The photos online looked very elegant. But in reality the place really needed some upgrading and some deep cleaning. The first room we were assigned was so hot that it was unbearable. The other two families traveling with us had hot rooms too. Even though we turned the cooling system on before we went out for... more

When we arrived  (9am, we booked the rsv. june '08) the clerk informed us that she didn't have our rsv. Our confrimation came from Expedia, she stated that it was Hotels.com. Anyway, she argued the fact that since we didn't book directly with them we wouldn't get the room we booked online. We were sooo disappointed, not to mention celebrating... more

My main complaint is about ORBITS on this particular experience, when my husband and I were booking this vacation, in Oct. of 08, we were heading to St. Louis to see our son graduate from his basic training/AIT from Fort Leonard MO. So till now we have never really had a vacation together alone with out kids or business, so... more

Because of the great photos on the hotel's website, I was very excited to stay here. In the photos the decor looks fresh, clean, trendy and different. Although that is true to an extent, I was relatively underwhelmed. The check-in was smooth and I have no complaints with the staff. We were on the 10th floor in a suite with... more

I am upset that I even have to award 1 out of 5. 1 is far too high to describe our experience. I booked my room for 2 adults and 2 children months in advance, as part of a wedding-related block of rooms. I reconfirmed by phone two weeks in advance and was assured our reservation was in order. Upon... more

I made my reservation on www.wyndham.com and selected our rate for 4 adults at $189 for one night. Our room was a premium two room suite. One room was a living area with a desk, mini bar area, flat screen television, sitting chair, and small sofa. The second room was the same size as the first, but with two double... more
