Old English decor with themed rooms, 3 delicious restaurants on site, live weekend music and bonfire by the pool, free bike rentals for Forrest park, dogs welcome, $7 to park in the garage (lame) but free wifi. Enjoyed every bit of it!

My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary and heard this was a fun place to stay. When we arrived we had a little trouble parking. There was no space in the parking out front...and there were a lot of people walking around. We were directed underneath into a creepy parking structure--There was no room and had to park... More

We recently stayed at the Cheshire on two seperate occasions. The rooms are very comfortable but could have used a touched up. They were clean, just dusty. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous...check-in and out were a breeze. Loved the breakfast and could have spent hours touring the establishment. We will be back!!

We stayed at the Cheshire for two nights while in STL. Upon checking in there was an issue with getting our Hotels.com reservation and had to wait about 1-20 minutes until they finally got us checked in. Upon entering our room we got settled in and realized that someone had used the bathroom before us.....being that it was past midnight... More

I highly recommend the Cheshire in St. Louis. Service was terrific, rooms were roomy and immaculate. The continental breakfast was spot on. Although it poured the weekend we were there, the patio is large and comfy. We met friends for drinks - we had ample room and quiet in the lounge. It is a fun boutique hotel; every room is... More

I recently got a room for a couple nights via Priceline at the Cheshire. The hotel was redone a couple years ago, so the rooms are nice and updated. The original Tudor exterior and old English lobby were retained and adds to the charm. For the size of the hotel they have ton of dining options. I heard the new... More

I stayed at the Cheshire, recently, on business. First of all, as previous reviewers have mentioned, the British theme is lovely. Service from the front desk was very kind. The main issue that the hotel has is with housekeeping. My sheets were not changed between the previous guest and my arrival. I could tell because there were a couple of... More

Jolly old England. This is a restored "boutique" property that sports hunting and literary motifs. Its rooms are named after writers and poets, you receive a bookmark corresponding to the name of the author and with the title of the book that is lovingly placed in your room, and the stucco walls and wood trimming evoke Elizabethan times, though with... This hotel did not appeal to us. My husband said it reminded him of a 1970's home interior party. The bathroom had a motion sensor light that came on at the slightest movement with no way to disable it. I forgot about it being on the sensor and it kept going off while I was in the shower. There was... More

Such an impressive place to visit...curiosities around every corner...what a gem. The halls are filled wiht antiques and original artwork. The staff were all pleasant, attentive and helpful. The room had all the modern ammenities one would expect but was unique and styled to the last detail. Grabbed a quick bite to eat in the tavern. The meal was tasty... More
