Prior to moving in, I informed the property manager of my breathing condition and asked about the smoking policy. She said smoking was allowed ONLY in a person's own apartment. The rule is also in BOLD UNDERLINED letters in "Community Rules." She LIED. She encourages her staff to smoke in the enclosed, non-ventilated garage. People also smoke in the hallways, lobby. She does absolutely NOTHING to enforce the smoking policy.

When I said I had to move out for health reasons, she threatened to sue me because I have a lease.

Next, the building is terrible with maintenance. They regularly have beer bottles, cans, broken glass, rusty metal objects, etc. on the property. I moved in just over 6 months ago, and some of the crap has been there since I moved in.

The doormen sometimes leave the door open in the middle of the night (while he's sleeping), which is clearly the most unsafe time to have it open. The back door of the garage is also often left open... more
