We stayed in a cabin due to a nasty storm. The camp ground is right next to the tracks..the noise was ridiculous! The grounds became a horrible soggy mess when it rained. We were nervous about parking our car next to the cabin. I sunk up to my ankles in mud. I will say the campground is clean, and the... More

If you are staying a few days or even one week you may find yourself satisfied, but we paid for one month and was treated like the LESSER of guest! My husband does QC for Phillips 66 and travels about 8 months out of the year. Since summer was here we decided to take a summer trip with him and... More

If you like lots of freeway noise, a cabin with cobwebs, and people happy to gouge you for every penny, this is the place for you. When we made our reservation over the phone, the hosts failed to inform us of a dog fee of $25, even though we told them we had a dog ("Oh, we'll deal with that... More

This KOA was perfect. Thank you for having an organized late check in process. We were very tired and your organization allowed us to get our Boys to bed without any problems. The restrooms were spotless which I really appreciate. The trains didn't bother us because we were too tired to care.

We are campers and have stayed all sorts of places...mostly state park, COE and County, City Camp parks...only a couple of time in a KOA, not impressed, but had the occasion to stay at one with another couple and to buy a membership, which cut costs. So we went to the Springfield, Missouri KOA to take in the special events... More

We spent one night at this KOA about two weeks ago. It was horrible. My 2-year old daughter was awakened, terrified, almost hourly by the trains at the railroad crossing nearby. And although she didn't seem to notice the planes overhead, they kept my husband and I awake when the trains weren't passing though. I don't know who thought the... More

We camped at this KOA for a week in July, 2008. We rented the Silver Streak trailer that the campground had available and we had a wonderful week. The trailer is a vintage trailer but in very good condition. The campground itself is in a remote location, but not a bad drive to the many attractions that Springfield has to... More

The KOA in springfeild,mo is right next to a very busy railroad. Especially at night! We counted 13 because we couldn't sleep. There were planes landing at the nearby airport. They were only 300ft overhead. It was just terrible. We actually had to buy earplugs for the second night. Do yourself a favor DO NOT camp there!!!
