This is an 85-year old hotel in a part of Butte that is deader than dead. The hotel is in good condition and clean, but has almost no amenities. There is free wifi in the lobby, but not in the rooms. Like the rest of downtown Butte, the Finlen has seen better days. I stayed there in August 2008 and have no regrets. The room was clean and comfortable and the price was right. I would definitely recommend the Finlen to friends and stay there again. more

Not your normal hotel. Get one of the suites in the main hotel (no smoking). Great service, great location, and elegant in that style which can only be described as "funky Butte". It is clean and quiet. Not tons of amenities but a GREAT room for the price. more
